14/06/2023

RZD Logistics JSC successfully organized the delivery of containers from Iran to Russia. The cargo was sent from Sarakhs station (Iran) and arrived at Selyatino station (Moscow region, Russia) on May 31st, taking a total of 9 days for delivery by rail. This is an excellent result, considering the containers were in transit through Tajikistan and Kazakhstan. The companies plan to increase the number of deliveries via the North-South ITC, which will allow for the transportation of cars, agricultural products, and other goods that require temperature regulation. The shipments from Sarakhs to Selyatino are expected to become regular.

In terms of goods that may be in demand from Iran in the Russian Federation, medical products, agricultural products, and cars are among the top options. Iran produces most of its own drugs, and they are significantly cheaper than European counterparts. The import of fruits, vegetables, and products made from them accounts for over 70%. There are also several car brands that offer good quality and comfort at a reasonable price.

Delivering goods by rail has several advantages for Russian businessmen. First, delivery times can be accurately predicted. Second, offering lower prices for good quality goods can attract more customers. Third, delivery to the Moscow region can help reduce delivery costs in Russia, especially for businesses with warehouses in the area.

Overall, the increasing accessibility of delivery from Iran by rail benefits all participants in the logistics market. Customers can receive quality products at good prices, businesses can gain additional income, connections, and new customers. Regular flights with temperature-controlled transport options are eagerly awaited.
