Three EU countries have increased commodity supplies to Russia

Cyprus, Portugal and Ireland increased their shipments to Russia in the first quarter of 2024 compared to the same period last year.

Cyprus increased supplies the most – by 13%, to €15.6 million. The main part of this volume was made up of ships, boats and yachts. During the year, their supplies increased by more than 19%.

Portugal's commodity supplies to Russia increased by 7% over the year, to €24.5 million. From there, various kinds of drinks and vinegar (22%), nuclear reactors and boilers (about 19%), as well as shoes (over 11%) arrived in Russia.

Ireland's commodity supplies to Russia increased by 5% compared to last year, to €136.5 million. The main supplies are inorganic chemicals (over 38%), pharmaceutical products (almost 37%) and optical equipment (10%).
