03/10/2024

At the end of this September, the entire volume of Russian wheat exports, taking into account the export of these agricultural products to the states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), may grow to 5.5 million tons. This forecast is given by experts from the analytical center Rusagrotrans. If analysts' expectations come true, the result will repeat the maximum level set last September.

"The forecast for wheat exports in September 2024, taking into account the EAEU countries, has been increased to 5.5 million tons, which corresponds to the record level of 2023," the industry organization estimated.

Rusagrotrans recalled: according to the results of the last agricultural season (from July 2023 to June 2024 inclusive) As a result, Russian farmers sent abroad over 54 million tons of wheat.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev predicted the total grain harvest in the country by the end of 2024 at the level of 132 million tons. According to him, this will allow domestic agricultural exporters to send a total of up to 60 million tons abroad in the new agricultural season. But he noted that the final result could be negatively affected by the consequences of adverse weather conditions that affected several key agricultural regions of the Russian Federation.
