Russia has increased gas supplies to Kazakhstan to a historical maximum

In total, in January-August 2024, Kazakhstan imported natural gas from the Russian Federation in excess of $353 million, which is more than 2 times more than in the same period in 2023. The total volume of Russian gas imports for 8 months of this year has reached its maximum values.

Astana also increased imports of Russian coke by more than 15% to $103.5 million, and coal by 1.6 times to $107.5$.

In addition, Russia's share in Georgian gas imports has reached a record 36% in its history. Azerbaijan remains the main supplier of gas to Georgia. At the same time, fuel supplies in the direction have significantly decreased over the past year.
