In the last few years, the country has turned from an importer of agricultural products into the world's largest exporter of related goods. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The Head of State noted: Moscow is proud of the work done over the past 10 years. This is especially true in the field of agriculture, where there are already notable successes.
"Russia has turned from an absolute importer of agricultural products into the largest exporter and ranks first in the world in wheat exports," Putin stressed.
He also pointed out that for the whole of 2023, Russian companies should supply 60 million tons of grain crops to the world market. And this indicator may be higher in reality. According to the President of the Russian Federation, the government plans to maintain this trend in the future.
Earlier, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia increased the forecast of grain harvest in the country in 2023. According to the department, it will amount to 140 million tons, including 93 million tons of wheat.
