Portugal increases exports to Russia

The export of a European country to the Russian Federation showed an increase in the first 5 months of 2024 compared to the same indicator in 2023. By increasing the supply of agricultural and food products, Lisbon received about €43 million from trade with Moscow from January to May.  
 
The total trade turnover between Russia and Portugal in the first 5 months of 2024 amounted to €114.5 million. In 2022, the trade turnover between the countries was at the level of more than €737 million. And this is 50.5% less than in 2021. Obviously, this is due to the fact that imports of Russian products to Portugal are declining. 
 
In addition, for several months, increasing its exports to Russia and Germany. Thus, this April, the volume of exports from Germany to the Russian Federation increased by more than 17% compared to March. In addition, Ireland, Cyprus, Italy and Poland began to supply more goods to Russia in the first quarter of 2024.
 
Recall that in 2023, the trade turnover between Russia and India increased almost 2 times and reached a record $ 65 billion. At the same time, the export of Indian goods to Russia increased 1.4 times and reached $ 4 billion.
