Moscow has strengthened its leadership position in 2023 in terms of non-primary non-energy exports (NNE). Now the capital of Russia supplies industrial goods to more than 145 countries.

"The most diverse products of the capital's production are popular abroad: from ice cream and cosmetics to optics and medical equipment," Sergei Sobyanin said.

A quarter of the NNE of Moscow is mechanical engineering products, chemical industry products account for 18% of exports, food and processing industry products — 4%, and sales abroad of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics — 3%.

"Manufacturers have been able to increase exports, primarily by increasing trade turnover with long—standing partners - friendly countries. The volume of non-ferrous metals of Moscow products in them increased by more than 30% in the three quarters of this year compared to the same period in 2022. Of the total NNE of the city, this is about 90%," said the mayor of Moscow.

It should be noted that the Moscow export center Mosprom organized 16 international business missions and 8 industry exhibitions in 2023, during which exporters held about 2.5 thousand business meetings.
