According to the results of the first half of 2023, China took the first place among the importing countries to the Russian Federation by a large margin. The PRC accounts for 42% of the total import of goods. Turkey is next (13%). And Belarus closes the top three (12%). Such results were shown by the research of the bank "Tochka".

These countries, just as in the previous year, supply two-thirds of all imported products to Russia. But at the same time, Turkey has overtaken Belarus in the import of goods.

Hong Kong and Kazakhstan also entered the top 5 importers. They occupy 9 and 5%, respectively, of the total volume of imports. It should be noted that a year earlier, two European countries were in fourth and fifth places. The Netherlands and Germany supplied 3% of their products to the Russian Federation.

According to experts, in 2023, Russian entrepreneurs began to buy goods from Turkish manufacturers more often. This is especially true of clothing. This trend is associated with the fact that Turkey produces high-quality products that can replace brands that have left Russia. Thus, many Turkish companies with the help of importers came to the Russian market and presented their products to consumers.

Industrial equipment, spare parts, clothing, furniture, accessories and textiles are mainly imported to Russia from other countries. Moreover, the latter has become one of the main goods for import into the country. After all, Turkey, with which the Russian Federation has strengthened cooperation in the field of trade, is just famous for its fabrics.
