Two promising locations are being considered for the implementation of the project: in Syzran and Oktyabrsk. There will be existing and new transport and logistics centers and river ports. These cities were chosen to create a hub because of a number of their advantages.

So, on the territory there are:

1) a large railway junction with access to the Transsib;

2) federal highway M-5;

3) new transport corridor Europe – Western China;

4) exit to the new highway M-12;

5) operating ports and berthing walls;

6) land plots.

It should be noted that the Samara Region is the only region of the Volga Federal District where three river ports for river–sea class vessels are located. The latter have access to the Volga-Don and White Sea-Baltic shipping channels.

Such a border region of Kazakhstan has transport links with the states of the Caspian basin, and through Turkey, Azerbaijan and Iran – with other countries of the Persian Gulf.

In addition, the Samara region has a high transit potential. The territory is located at the intersection of the international transport corridors North-South and West-East. And the total volume of cargo transportation by all modes of transport here reaches almost 100 million tons.

Due to the unique geographical location, the largest Russian e-commerce market players have settled in the region. Yandex.Market and OZON logocenters are open here. And the Wildberries distribution center is under active construction. At the same time, work on a warehouse for X5 Group will soon be completed in the Preobrazhenka-2 Industrial Park. The distribution center will provide Pyaterochka stores in the Volga region and the Urals.

As a result, in the current foreign economic conditions, the emergence of alternative transport corridors and trade routes in the Samara region will push Russia to develop trade and economic ties with friendly countries.
