The Russian harvest in 2024, as in the previous 2 years, may be quite high. This is the forecast given by experts.

"Over the past 9 years, the grain harvest in Russia has exceeded 100 million tons, over the past 5 years it has consistently exceeded 120 million tons. In the 2024/2025 season, we also expect that the gross harvest will seriously exceed 120 million tons," said Eduard Zernin, Chairman of the Board of the Union of Grain Exporters. According to him, in 2023/2024, grain exports may reach 70 million tons.

According to Dmitry Patrushev, last year, wheat, corn and barley accounted for the majority of the total agricultural exports of $43.5 billion. "Moreover, we continue to hold the first place in the world in the wheat trade. The Russian Federation is the main supplier of this crop to countries such as Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, India and China. And even despite a significant decrease in world prices, our income from agricultural exports continues to grow," the head of the Ministry of Agriculture noted.

According to the authorities, in 2023 Russia exported 66 million tons of grain, including more than 50 million tons of wheat.
