Delivery of components for cars from China

23/06/2023

Without what can we not imagine our lives? Without a smartphone? What else? Yes, a car. Without a car, it's like being without hands. It's just uncomfortable. And that's not just any car, but a personal one. Can you imagine if carsharing, taxis, and public transportation weren't available?

Therefore, delivering car components to Russia is one of logistics' main tasks. Not only are spare parts commonly replaced by car owners, but parts are also necessary for assembling new cars, some of which come from abroad. The leader in delivering these products to Russia is RZD Logistics JSC.

So, how are car kits delivered?

Since the beginning of 2023, the company has delivered over 10,000 car kits from China to manufacturers in Russia. Parts are transported through Kazakhstan and Mongolia, and they also use the Grodekovo-Suifenhe and Zabaikalsk-Manchuria border crossings for delivery.

To ensure an uninterrupted supply of products, both direct delivery by rail and multimodal transportation through Far East ports are used, complying with the terms of delivery and not allowing overloading of border crossings.

Another way is an intermodal container route for delivering auto components from the Chinese port of Ningbo to the Zhodino station in Belarus through the Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port, organized by the FESCO Transport Group. This route is mainly for the supply of components for Geely cars. The plan is to deliver over 4 container trains per month by sea and alternative routes. Components take about 35 days to arrive from China to a warehouse in Belarus, where they'll be used to assemble cars. Finished cars will be sold to the domestic market, other countries, and of course, to Russia. The company plans to produce over 60,000 cars annually.

In conclusion, logistics plays a critical role in ensuring that components are delivered in the right volume and regularly to countries. Carrier companies aim to reduce delivery costs so that finished cars can be more affordable for consumers. Chinese-made cars have earned the trust of Russians, and a wide range of models allows customers to choose a car that meets their specific requirements.
